Cr\u00e9\u00e9e par deux associ\u00e9s, elle offrait \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque des services d&rsquo;usinage avec des machines conventionnelles, et \u00e9tait sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans la production de pi\u00e8ces galvanis\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Au fil des ans, ces deux activit\u00e9s principales ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9par\u00e9es et le nom IME a perdur\u00e9 jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce jour. Pendant la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape de sa nouvelle vie, IME a cr\u00e9\u00e9 une ligne de production de charni\u00e8res pour les tramways de Barcelone, puis s&rsquo;est orient\u00e9e vers la construction de machines pour l&rsquo;industrie du papier et des emballages.
