Industrias Mecánicas y Electrogalvanizado was founded in 1959 in Barcelona. It was founded by two partners who at that time carried out machining operations in facilities with conventional machinery and were mainly engaged in galvanising parts.
Over the years, the two main activities were separated and the name IME continued to exist to this day. During the first stage of this new trajectory, IME dedicated itself to the manufacture of hinges for the trams of Barcelona and later went on to produce machinery for the paper and packaging industry. Progressively, our company has focused on the machining of all types of parts from all types of materials.
